Why I Stay

I am glad to be in this world and breathing.  Unsettling as events have been lately, you will not find me volunteering to be shot into space in an effort to find some unmarked planet – a place to begin again.
There are untapped possibilities here -- stones still left unturned.  My bones, creaking with curiosity, clamor with commitment to the unearthing of poems – stories waiting in the darkness to be written into light.
Please send your unpublished poems here to Spiracle Journal.

If we can dream therefore we can believe. This very well is every optimist's creed.

I relish thinking about the "unearthing" of poems -- for how true that is -- they wait, and the poet digs and digs -- this little plea goes to the heart of why we all write -- searching for the light. I love the keen way you express yourself!
